1. rainbow trout / steelhead: “oncorhynchus mykiss / irideus” ** see fall section for more information** features-Head and nape steel-colored; long slender body; lightly peppered w black flecks on top of head to tail; green to brown on top; silvery sides w/ rosy or pink tones. habitat: cold clear lakes, streams, & rivers length: to 40” weight: to 42 lbs bait: dry flies, wet flies, spinners

2. white perch: “morone americana” features: Olive to blackish green back, fading to silver-green on the sides; no black stripes on the sides of adult fish; two dorsal fins touch but are separated habitat: brackish water in coastal areas, coastal areas of the great lakes length: 6-8” weight: 1 lb or less bait: fish eggs in spring and early summer; minnows, insects and crustaceans
